The Inn on Westport partnered with the world-renowned Missoula Children’s Theatre to host its second annual multi-generational summer theatre camp. The one-week residency resulted in two performances of “Aladdin.” Casting included school age students from the community entering first through 12th grade and older adult residents from the senior living community. This is a partnership made possible through The Inn on Westport’s Ages Entwined program, which fosters creativity and brings generations together on a regular basis.
Together, The Inn on Westport and Missoula Children’s Theatre strived to transcend cultural barriers between the young and young at heart by actively engaging them in the arts. Participating in theatre helps to develop confidence, skills and self-esteem, as well as meaningful relationships.
